Still here. How about you?

I forgot. I write better sitting at Starbucks. I can't explain it, but that's where the words just come out, in good quantity, and mostly in the right order, too. Today, they had some kind of Rolling Stones thingy playing, and that didn't hurt one bit, even if Mick did sound a bit old. Ain't we all?

Beverage of choice this season: the Pomegranate frappuccino, which really is just juice and tea and ice in a blender, but it makes me happy.

Meanwhile, Steph had a good idea that I want to roll out bigger. Let's turn the Toronto Drunken Knitters' Nights into swap nights as well. So if you have knitting stuff that you will never use -- books, yarn, needles, whatever -- bring it! We'll swap each month. If someone wants to take this up and actually organize it, that's cool with me. I just think it'll be a nice way to recycle with no pressure.

Next night (they're always the 2nd Friday of the month) is August 11th, at the Spotted Dick. See you there!

I'm going back to research more stuff. About things. And stuff.

Love,

hi amy!
i have a non blog related knitting questions regarding your book...there is no "contact me" email on the knitty.com site...

Mmm...Pomegranate frappuccino. That sounds yummy.

Where the hell have you been? I haven't seen you in chat in ages!

Maybe you're more prolific at Starbucks because of the caffeine and/or sugar? Not that there's anything wrong with that...

i been WORKin, turtie! i only had the luxury of chat time because the day job was, um, quiet at times.

:-)

sounds like the knitsmiths' thingie. i think they baggie their stuff up. you bring one baggie, you take one baggie. bring two, take two, etc. easy to keep track of.

Oooh, I like the idea of a knitswap being incorporated into drunken knit night! I definitely have a few items laying around that I just don't need anymore.

Hi ,todays lesson is comments. So HI AMY I,m commenting and bad spelling all over your blog. I did'nt go to stitch n bitch cause, of a fake lice emergence. We thought Callum (home from camp last night) had them but no false call.Whew.Everyones hair is nice and soft now cause we did olive oil treatments.I will keep eagle eyes for any signs all summer. I'm at the Sheep on the weekend.MMM frappies.Luv denny

Too weird. I was saying to Sandi at the last drunken night that I thought a swap would be great. Perhaps this got around or it was just the universe giving several people the same excellent idea at the same time! I definitely have several single balls that need a loving home. I'll copy/paste your post on the Team Canada site for you.

It was a great idea eh? Too bad I'm away on holiday for the next one.
