it's not a boob.

it's supposed to be 18[ish] inches around the head. it's actually 22 [and yes, i swatched first]. never mind. i have a big head and you're supposed to wear it on the back of your noggin anyway. [pictures maybe later, if i'm feeling cute enough.]

deets: yarn is Blue Moon Sock Candy in Pretty in Pink (one skein is more than enough). pattern is from the Purl Bee.

You're doing better than my last beret. I made a tam out of lopi, decided it was too big when I put it on and couldn't see all of a sudden and then decided "well, it's wool, what happens if I try to shrink it a little?"

I have a beautiful bowl, white lopi will absolutely felt and the knowledge that under all that felty-goodness lies some beautiful cabling.

I made this beret too and it came out really big so I did a couple rounds of single crochet around the brim to tighten it up. It did the trick.

Where does one get Blue Moon Sock Candy? I am mostly a No Sheep person (I can handle cashmere and *some* alpaca), and I don't make socks (duck!), so when I went to the Blue Moon web site I was very confused... seems to be all about Sock yarn and no cotton!
Just wondering...
Beautiful beret!

Beee-you-tee-fulll!

Sure looks boobish in that first shot...

You're always cute enough. More than cute enough. Model please.

So purdy! And coming from the girl with the biggest beret in town - bigger is better!

kat -- i will have to pull out the crochet hook. it's a little too big to stay on.

rachel, you are sweet. you can take pics next wed, okay?

and julia, i TOTALLY am copying you, except with a different pattern and totally different yarn. because you ARE the slouchy beret girl and I am your biggest fan.

I think it's loverly!

Yep, you got that booby cozy done just in time for the latest cold snap!

Actually, I can just picture you wearing it and looking mighty cute, too!

It sure doesn't look like mindless knitting!

Ahhhh ... Pinky Tuscaberet. Much better.

It came out beautiful!

I love the beret with the varigated pink yarn. I'm looking for a beret pattern for a Christmas gift. Where can I find the pattern you used in the article?
