nu-uh she di-n't!

Okay, I didn't realize. The non-wool yarn that Beth at Lorna's Laces is using for my colorway? She's been calling it "Amy Friendly Yarn" in messages to me.

But dudes. That's its official name in stores and everything. I'm sure it's the height of ego to be amused by this, but I can't help it.

It's not only cool, it raises the profile of fellow no-sheep folks. To me, that's a nice way of saying "doesn't make me itch". It sounds better than "mammal-free". I've placed an order on principle. (Oh, and because it's a great colorway for me, and because I want it.)

It didn't occur to me that it would be anything else :-). Actually, I ordered it from a nearby LYS, and she sold 10 of 15 skeins in 3 days! It's so fabulous. I think I found a good pattern for a lace scarf with beads. Hopefully it will do the yarn justice.

When I ordered it, I referred to it as Amy's Vintage Office and referenced your blog as well, and they knew what I meant. Lace scarf with beads, now there's an idea! Or maybe I'll do the River Rocks scarf from No Sheep For You ... ahhh, I think it's going to become a favorite scarf of mine.

I got my hands on some and it is so fabulous I'm starting to worry that its going to become one of those yarns you don't knit because you'll always worry that a more worthy pattern will come along when you're done!

I can't believe LL isn't going to keep the yarn in their line permanently, adding other colors.

I'm thrilled about this yarn and the colorway! It arrived today from TLE. I also can not knit with wool, cashmere, merino etc. so this is great!!
