no ways.

Yup. Neil Gaiman got a box of his own -- as he should!, though it's not one of the airquotes official Coraline boxes, he reports. It is supercool, though. If you're one of my new converts* or an old-time Gaiman fan, you've got to go read the post and see what he got!

My favorite line in the post above?
"I think my favourite of the boxes is http://www.knitty.com/blog/2008/12/my-coraline-box.html but it's a close thing."

Dudes. That's my blog Mr G has linked to, and my box he's talking about! [Megathanks to Elithea for pointing this out to me.] I am just stunned that he's been by here...and I didn't even have time to tidy up!

In any case, welcome to anyone stopping by from Mr G's blog. Not sure all the content here may be to your taste, but who knows? Maybe you'll feel right at home. Can I teach you to knit?

*I've heard from at least three people in the last week that I've turned into Coraline-obsessed Gaiman fans with all these recent blog posts. There are uncountable numbers of us already and there's infinite room for more. Join us.

I am way ahead of ya! I've been a Gaimanite ever since my days as a comic geek. Enjoy your box, btw!

we went to see a movie the other day and I saw the trailer for the movie and it looks SO good! then it all made sense!

I saw this on Mr G's blog. How awesomely cool!

How very, very cool! Maybe mr. Gaiman is a secret knitter?!

*Raises hand* Convert here! Thanks for introducing me to Neil Gaiman's work. I sped through Coraline, and will now be picking up some more of his books.

I started reading Neil Gaiman's work after Stardust came out. Then read a couple of others. I like his stuff. When you first mentioned Coraline, I went to the library and got the book. I am definitely a fan now! Thanks for broadening my horizons.

ONE OF US... ONE OF US...

The more knitting Gaiman fans, the merrier! I myself am a great fan of when he records his own audiobooks. *Sigh*

I read that over at Neil's blog (I get to call him Neil b/c he lives only about 100 miles from me). And tonight #1 son and I watched Beowold. Imagine my surprise when Neil Gaiman's name came onto the screen as one of the screenwriters -- who knew? Well, not me.

I've been a swooning fangirl of his for a long time, even met him at a con once (he was sporting facial hair, which made me swoon more ;-). I was tickled when I saw you had one of the boxes, and when I saw he said yours was his favorite I squee-d!

Two of my favorite things are intersecting!

I think we should all knit him scarves, it's cold in Minnesota, right? Although black yarn is hard on the eyes...

That is way awesome!!!!!!!!!

Some days I get to work with Neil Gaiman. Some days I get to knit. This is the first day ever that those two activities truly have intersected, as I happened upon your blog while looking for a new pattern. But then, NG and knitting both seem to be somehow everywhere, so I'm going to stop being surprised. Soon. BTW, I got to see some of the miniature sweaters from the film at a Coraline screening in New York, and they are just awesome. I cannot stop thinking about those teeny tiny needles. And anyone who enjoys any sort of craft must savor all of the short films at coraline.com revealed by the codes you've listed in your blog and that can be found elsewhere on the web (including Neil's blog). Enjoy your box -- it looks beautiful.

WOW. I am finally catching up on some blog-reading and spotted this on NG's blog and went OMG IT IS AMY'S BLOG HE IS MENTIONING and then I fell over and spilled coffee on the floor and...well, you get the idea. Hurrah!

Tamas got me the new illustrated Coraline this fall and it is fab.

Also, Amanda Palmer has some very adorable NG photos up on her blog at the moment: http://blog.amandapalmer.net/
