Here's a lacy hipster panty and bra that are perfect for playing peek-a-boo.

They're made of stretchy cotton/elastic blend with laces, so even though they look pretty small, they are sure to fit you perfectly. Short rows help shape the bottom.

I wanted to make mine in black or magenta, but when it came time to buy the yarn, I found my LYS only carried this pink! Now it has kind of grown on me. Try yours in whatever color tickles your fancy.

[Just relax while you are knitting with this yarn. Don't try to knit it completely relaxed and don't pull it so tight that you can't get your needles through the stitches.]

At this point, you might want to slip all sts onto scrap yarn.

Work the back up to this point, work the crotch as directed, lace up your hipster, try it on and estimate how many more rows you need for full coverage, if any. You must work the same number of additional rows on the front and the back in order to be able to lace it up correctly. If your hipster already covers everything you want covered, skip to the instructions for the BO row.

If you want to stop later, you must work a RS row with holes for laces, a WS row, a RS row, then go the the instructions for the BO row.

Row 67: P1, k1, p1, k1, ssk, k2, yo, *k1, yo, k2, vd, k2, yo, rep from * 5[7, 9] times, k1, yo, k2, k2tog, k1, p1, k1, p1.

Row 73: Rep row 61. [You can BO on Row 74 if you want]
Row 75: Rep row 61.
Row 77: Rep row 61.
Cont as est, working row 67 for 3 RS rows, then row 61 for 3 RS rows and working a hole for laces every 6 rows.

FINISHING

Hipster
If you find that it rides down a bit in the back and isn't as snug as you prefer, weave elastic thread through the last row on the back side. Tighten it up and sew the ends in place.

Bra
Weave in ends.
Lace up the front.

To make a halter: Attach the wider ribbon in the last yo made at the top of one cup, bring it around your neck and attach in the other. Sew in place or use two lengths of ribbon and tie a bow behind your neck.

To make a traditional bra: Attach the wider ribbon in the last yo made at the top of one cup, bring it over your shoulder and down to the back. Sew in place. Repeat with other shoulder

If the bottom of the bra isn't as snug as you like, pass the elastic thread through the tube made by the picot edge. Tighten it up and sew the ends in place.
